It’s time for Term Two of our Fall Wednesdy Night Classes! This session, we have two afternoon classes available (3:30  – 5:00 p.m.) followed by a group meal in the Christian Life Center. Immediately following the meal there is a selection of five evening classes (6:00 – 7:15 p.m.).

Introduction to Biblical Languages

The original texts of the Bible were written in three ancient languages: Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Aramaic, and Koine (common) Greek). This class will explore the history and use of these languages as the basis of the Holy Bible.  The complexities, practicality, and utility of the Biblical languages will be explored, along with specific interpretations of the students’ favorite passages from the Bible. 

In addition to other advanced training, John B. Averitt is a graduate of seminary training and holds a doctorate in Biblical languages from Vanderbilt University.
