Weather Policy
A revision of our inclement weather policy is in the works. This process takes time and requires input from many areas of ministry. You will be happy with some of the changes we plan to make as we consider safety, clear communication at prescribed times, and how important our church building is to so many groups.
Revising our policy began on Monday, February 3, with a rough draft introduced at our staff meeting and with the staff’s input. Additional input from many different areas of ministry is being sought. When the revision is completed, it will go to the Trustees’ committee for final revision and approval before making its way to the Mission and Ministry Team by email for their approval and adoption. This sounds like a lot, but there is wisdom in having so many eyes viewing such a policy before it is approved. No inclement policy can be perfect, but we believe we can make it better and ask for your prayers and support.
Note Concerning Today’s Decision and the Policy Revision: Church leadership hoped to follow our current policy until a new policy is completed. Today’s schedule (full of important bible studies, meetings, and the last basketball game of the year for the RAMS) and totally clear parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances has forced our hand. This is why we are deviating from our current policy today. We thank you for your input and continued support.
