The Splendors of Italy

Henri Nouwen says, “God is always moving us to new outward and inward places.” Ancient Italy certainly does that! Our tour starts with Milan, Verona and then Venice, highlighting the Basilica of St. Mark with its striking marble and gold mosaics. In the region of Pisa and Lucca, we will view medieval sacred spaces and soaring bell towers. In Florence, priceless treasures of Christian art and inspiration await us. The Basilica of St. Francis awaits on “the Hill of Paradise” in Assisi. In Rome, sites include the ancient Forum, the Coliseum, Vatican City, featuring St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, as well as ancient Christian catacombs. We conclude in southern Italy, including the ruins of Pompeii, the Pope’s summer residence in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Come sojourn with us to new outer and inner places!

Tour Description:

Join us on our Splendors of Italy tour. Sights include Lake Garda, Verona, Venice, the Piazza San Marco, the Basilica of St. Mark, the romantic Bridge of Sighs, Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Assisi, the magnificent Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Circus Maximus, Arch of Titus, famous Baths of Caracalla, the Arch of Constantine, Basilica of St. Paul, Pompeii and much more! A possible extension to the Amalfi Coast is also available.

Cost: $5146 (includes airfare, and daily breakfast and dinner) $300.00 deposit will secure your spot.
