What are Sunday services like?
The 8:30 am ("early") and 10:55 am ("late") services of worship are celebrated in our main sanctuary. Worshippers are deeply engaged through traditional elements of the Church’s historical worship practices. Various choirs and ensembles lead us in hymn singing and music. Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Our "Encounter" service occurs at 11:00 am in Wesley Chapel. This service is not traditional nor is it contemporary. It is an experiment in worship from week to week with a strong emphasis on holistic participation and an experience of God utilizing traditional, contemporary, and emerging worship practices. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday. Each week is different, so please join us anytime. Come as you are. All are welcome.
May I participate in Holy Communion?
Yes, the United Methodist Church practices an “open table” which means that all persons are invited and encouraged to participate in the Lord’s Supper with us. All persons are invited and welcome at Christ’s table, if they so desire.
