Church-wide Bible Study
"Almost Christmas - A Wesleyan Advent Experience"

United Methodist Women Christmas Program
Monday, December 2 in Jeff Wall Hall at 10:55 a.m.
United Methodist Women will celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with their annual pot-luck luncheon and Christmas Activities.
Advent Preparation Day
Tuesday, December 3 in the Choir room at 10 a.m.
Join in preparing the greenery bundles for the Hanging of the Greens.
Rehearsal Schedule for Hanging of the Greens
All children of the church are invited and encouraged to participate in the dedication portion of the Hanging of the Greens. This is a required rehearsal for participants. All rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary.
Youth Participants - Wednesday, November 20, 6;6:30 p.m.
Youth Participants make up rehearsal - Sunday, November 24, 9:30 a.m.
All children, ages 3 through grade 6, Wednesday, December 4, 4-4:30 p.m.
3 and 4 year-olds meet in the narthex prior to the 8:30 service on December 8.
Christmas with the Children
Wednesday, December 4 at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary
The Choir Club children will present their Christmas musical featuring the choirs, instrument classes and worship arts classes.
Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, December 7 in Jeff Wall Hall from 8-10 a.m.
We invite you and your family to spend the morning eating yummy pancakes and visiting with Santa! This event is free and the food is provided by the FUMC Youth Group. Special crafts and a Christmas movie will also be available for the children.
Hanging of the Greens
Sunday, December 8 at the 8:30 and 10:55 a.m. Worship services
The 46th annual Hanging of the Greens, an Advent service of symbolism and music, will once again be held. The 8:30 service will be led by the children, ages 3 through Grade 6, Youth Choir, Handbell choir, Evening Ensemble, and Gospel Ensemble. The 10:55 service will be led by 5th and 6th Grade Choir, Youth Choir, Handbell Choir, Evening Ensemble, Gospel Ensemble and Chancel Choir.
Children and Families Advent Festival
Sunday, December 8 during the Sunday school hour in the Sunday School classrooms
Join us for a light snack, a simple ornament and Advent wreath craft and enjoy a presentation of the Christmas story! Contact Shannon Auberson in the church office if you plan to attend.
Kids' Mission Day
Wednesday, December 11, 4-6 p.m. in the Freeman Building
FUMC Kids (grades K-6) are invited to Kid's Mission Day. Special projects will include newborn baby basket for Cookeville Regional Medical Center, emergency food bag preparation for those in need, and the purchasing and wrapping of presents for children on the Rescue Mission Angel Tree.

The traditional readings of the Advent season with musical offerings by the Handbell Choirs, Chancel Choir, Evening Ensemble, Gospel Ensemble, Youth Choir and Brass Ensemble.
Youth Christmas Party
Sunday, December 15 at 4 p.m. in the Youth room
Youth in grades 7-12 are invited to the Annual Christmas Party. For the gift exchange, bring something you already own that you would like to give away as a gift. Also, bring a donation to be used towards buying Angel Tree gifts.
Kids' Christmas Caroling
Sunday, December 15, 3-6 p.m.
FUMC Kids, grades 306, are invited to go Christmas Caroling! We will visit members of our church who are homebound. Seeing the children brings them a lot of joy during the holiday season. Contact Shannon Auberson for more information and to sign up.
The Longest Night
Sunday, December 15 at 6 p.m. in Wesley Chapel
A special worship service designed for those living through difficult times during the holiday season.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
Sunday, December 24 at 5 and 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Nursery will be available in room C116 of the sanctuary building for children birth through 3 years of age during both Christmas Eve service.
