The youth ministry at FUMC is a comprehensive ministry for youth in the 7th-12th grades. Through weekly programming, special events, retreats, mission opportunities, and much more, we strive to provide a welcoming environment in which all youth are welcome to come together and grow in their faith. For a complete calendar of all of our events, please pick up a copy of the Youth Ministry Calendar 2016 from the church office.

UMYF is short for United Methodist Youth Fellowship, UMYF is one of our primary weekly offerings for youth and is open to all youth grades 7-12. Wednesday nights from 7 to 8 pm

Every Wednesday when school is in session, we have our “7 to 8 special”, our weekly youth worship service. The “7 to 8 Special” includes a time for worship with singing, led by our youth praise band, a message from one of our youth leaders, and other activities that could include: games, spiritual practices, or discussion.

Sunday school meets every Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45 am. Sunday School consists of biblically based lessons that encourage students to study and learn more about the tenets of our faith as found in scripture. The 7th-8th grades meet in rm. B019 in the Freeman Building (Also known as the youth room), and the 9th-12th grades meet in the back room at Poets (which is the coffee shop on the corner of Broad and Jefferson).
