Dr. Martin Thielen

Before being appointed to Cookeville, Martin served Methodist churches in Monterey, Lebanon, and Brentwood. Before transferring to the United Methodist Church, Martin served the Southern Baptist Convention as a pastor, editor, consultant, author, and adjunct seminary professor. Martin holds a Bachelor, Masters, and Doctorate degrees, and is the author of six books and hundreds of articles. He and his wife Paula have two grown children, both of whom are school teachers.

Rev. Whitney Mitchell

Whitney, a native of Pulaski, TN, was appointed to Cookeville First as the Associate Pastor in June 2014. He is a third year resident in the Tennessee Conference. He hopes to be ordained as an Elder in the Tennessee Conference in June 2015. Before coming to Cookeville, he served Pulaski First and Waynesboro First. He was graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in History and from Vanderbilt University Divinity School with a Master's of Divinity. He is married to Michelle, and they have two children Thomas and Sarah Adelaide.
