While we offer many opportunities and support through FUMC, we can not meet all needs for everyone. With that in mind, we offer the below list of community resources and education for consideration. We do not endorse any outside programs, but offer these links for your information only.
Caring.com - Helping family caregivers so they can make better decisions, save time and money and feel less alone. They also list area assisted living facilities.
Dr. Richard H. Gentzler Publications - A companion to the author's earlier book Designing an Older Adult Ministry (Discipleship Resources, 1999), this book will provide new information and outline ways to develop and strengthen ministries by, with, and for older adults that can, and will, enhance the spiritual growth and well-being of people of all ages.
Assisted Living in Tennessee - Assisted Living Facilities offer many different housing options for seniors who want to live autonomously, but still require a little extra help to fully enjoy life.
Paying for Senior Care - As we approach that time in our lives when we need assistance in living we may become concerned about the financial aspects of the various levels of aid. This link was provided by Maggie Thompson, an Community Outreach and Senior Advocate and a past speaker at our Young At Heart event.
