A strong faith community is an essential part of raising our children. FUMC offers a number of events and community opportunities to build relationships and our share our faith. Special events and camps are offered for children and families throughout the year at FUMC.
Club 456 is a ministry designed for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. The club meets on Sunday mornings during Sunday school. Once a month, students are invited to go on Club 456 outings where they will enjoy fellowship and fun with their friends. This group will also work on a number of mission projects throughout the year. Club 456 will foster relationships with peers and encourage discipleship through service.

All 6th graders are invited and encouraged to participate in a very important class that informs and celebrates tweens growing into maturity both spiritually and sexually. It is taught by Dr. Jim Batson, a local pediatrician and a member of our church. The class size is limited to 20 participants. The text used is Preparing for Adolescence by Dr. James Dobson and will be ordered for each student who participates. The cost is $10. Classes will be held Sundays from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in B214 of the Freeman Building. Below are the dates and times for the class.
October 21-22, 2017 - FUMC KIDS, 3rd-6th grade, are invited to join us for the children’s retreat at Cedar Crest Camp in Lyles, TN. Cedar Crest is one of the outdoor ministry facilities owned and operated by the Tennessee Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. It will be an amazing weekend of worship, singing, games, fellowship, bonfires, and more! For more information, contact Beth Wheeler.
